The transfer rumors around USMNT star Weston McKennie continue to hold tight as the young and versatile midfielder is rumored to be on the sell list at Juventus. McKennie, who is still in consideration at the Italian old lady has made six appearances this year, coming off the bench in half, and last night partook in Juventus 1-0 victory over Chelsea in the Champions League as a sub.

While rumors of a move outside of Juventus began to circulate in the summer, McKennie at one point stated his desire was to play in the Premier League at one stage in his career. That was before a huge move to Juventus where the American midfielder had a fantastic first season with the club.

Since the arrival of Massimiliano Allegri, despite some decent reviews from his coach, McKennie has seen his role at Juventus diminish. Questions of his maturity have come up, especially after being sent home from the USMNT camp during their first three World Cup qualifiers. Now West Ham United is the reported destination for the former FC Dallas youth product, find out how true are the McKennie to West Ham rumors.

According to a report in Football Insider talks have already begun to bring the American to London Stadium. McKennie would come in to replace Declan Rice, if Rice were to leave the club since he has not resigned a contract extension.

By no means is Weston McKennie’s time at Juventus over, he has started 3 of 6 Serie A matches, and plays a role in the Champions League. McKennie even put his USMNT woes behind him having been called up to the October round of qualification matches.

McKennie is a solid box to box midfielder who has adapted well to the Italian game, and even though Juventus bought the young American last season, Juventus has their own financial issues and on a stacked midfield if an offer were to come in, in the 30 million Euro range, the Turin club will be inclined to listen.
