AJ Dybantsa isn’t somebody who goes with the masses and remains quiet when it comes to sharing his opinion. The BYU Cougars player, who is set to start his college career in a couple of months, is now spending time creating content for his YouTube channel, which he announced in May.

Dybantsa uploaded another video to his channel named “Asking New Yorkers CRAZY Questions” on Wednesday. Besides the questions, he also shared some strong opinions about arguably the most beloved sports franchise in the city, the New York Knicks.

Knowing that he picked BYU over top programs such as Kansas, North Carolina and Alabama, you can tell that Dybantsa has strong beliefs and doesn’t hesitate to defend them.

During this video, he ran into a man wearing a UConn Huskies shirt. The forward proceeded to ask this person if he knew the Huskies would play BYU at TD Garden on Nov. 9.

After finding out this person was also a New York Knicks fan, AJ Dybantsa took the opportunity to say that they beat his Boston Celtics only because Jayson Tatum went down with a season-ending injury.

“The only reason why the Knicks beat us is because (Jayson) Tatum got hurt, and the Patriots are just the best football team of all time,” Dybantsa said. “So if you want to defend your New York, you can.”

The Knicks beat the Celtics in six games, advancing to the Eastern Conference finals, where the Indiana Pacers took them out behind a terrific performance from Tyrese Haliburton.
