The Houston Rockets are a revamped team right now. They own the best defensive rating in the NBA after trading James Harden away to the Brooklyn Nets and are riding a 4-game winning streak despite several injuries.
Christian Wood had to miss some games, the same for John Wall, and Victor Oladipo. Danuel House, on the other hand, just was able to come back after spending some timeon the sidelines as well.
Even so, Stephen Silas’ team looks like a cohesive unit. They play winning basketball, put their bodies on the line, contest shots, and get the job done on both ends of the floor in ways most people didn’t think they would be able to early on.
John Wall Takes Swipe At James Harden Following Rockets Win
That’s why John Wall didn’t hesitate to call out James Harden after beating the Portland Trail Blazers, claiming that they now have the team they wanted because those who stayed actually want to be there:
“The team wasn’t where we wanted to be, and we had people that didn’t want to be here. So it’s kind of hard to play through that and try to find chemistry. Once we got that away and then wemade the trades happen, we got the team that we wanted, and the guys that wanted to be here,” Wall said.
“Once we all committed to what we wanted to do, we’re going to be a good team. Everybody has something to prove, that people don’t think we can be as good as we are. They said we were going to be bad when James (Harden) went away,”he concluded.
This isn’t the first time that the former Washington Wizards star takes aim at The Beard. Also, several Rockets players felt disrespected by the way he talked and acted to force his way out of Houston.
The Rockets currently own an 8-9 record and have quite a decent core to make a playoff run with DeMarcus Cousins, John Wall, Eric Gordon, Christian Wood, Victor Oladipo, Danuel House, and PJ Tucker, so you better don’t sleep on them.
