It has been a hectic 2021 for the Colombian National team as they continue the grueling CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying campaign, and the nation will co-host the 2021 Copa America with Argentina. Colombia currently sit seventh in CONMEBOL World Cup qualification and at the moment are out of the 2022 World Cup.
Colombia parted ways with Carlos Queiroz after a slow start to qualifying and put their fortunes in the hands of Reinaldo Rueda, who will coach Colombia for the second time in his career. Rueda was fired as the head coach of Chile after they also started World Cup qualifying slowly.
