Luka Doncic is undoubtedly one of the top figures in the game today, and his move to the Los Angeles Lakers has only enhanced his abilities. The WNBA is also home to many high-caliber players, and the Slovenian star took it upon himself to choose his favorite, leaving both Angel Reese and the latest NCAAB sensation, Paige Bueckers, out of the spotlight.

During a recent appearance on ‘Sundae Conversation with Caleb Pressley,’ the former Dallas Mavericks player, now part of a lethal duo alongside none other than LeBron James, was asked about who he believes is the best player in women’s basketball.

“Who is your favorite women’s basketball player?” Doncic was asked. Without hesitation, he replied, “Caitlin Clark.” When follow-up questioned if he had seen Paige Bueckers play, the point guard said, “She’s okay,” but added that he hasn’t yet seen her showcase her talent in the big leagues.

Since her arrival in the WNBA, the Indiana Fever’s player has become one of the league’s biggest stars, standing out not only for her talent but also for her unique style of play. It seems she now has a new fan in Luka Doncic.

The jump from College to the WNBA, according to Clark

Starting next month, Caitlin Clark will begin her second season in the WNBA, where she quickly became one of the league’s biggest stars, even during her rookie year. The Fever’s top player spoke with the press and shared, from her perspective, what it’s like to make the big jump from NCAAB.

“So you basically go home for one day and pack up your whole life and then move to a new city, the city that you get drafted to,” Clark said, via Elle. “So I think it’s just the adjustment period that you have.”

She also added: “I think the biggest difference is just how fast you have to move on and change from being a college student, a college athlete, and then you’re like a professional athlete and there’s a lot that comes with that too.”

Paige Bueckers is set to take her first steps in the WNBA

Selected by the Dallas Wings with the No. 1 overall pick in the first round of the Draft, Paige Bueckers is set to begin what many expect to be a stellar career in the top tier of women’s basketball. After showcasing her talent with the UConn Huskies, Bueckers said goodbye with a heartfelt message and now has her sights firmly set on what’s ahead.

“These past 5 years have been some of the most rewarding, challenging and Blessed years of my life. From the relationships that will last a lifetime, memories and experiences I’ll never forget, and a growing in Faith that has changed my life. The support and love has meant everything to me and I wouldn’t have been able to make it through without it.

“From all my sisters that I played with, to everyone in the program you are all family for life. Storrs, Connecticut will always be my second home and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I’m forever indebted and all I can say is THANK YOU,” she posted on @paigebueckers.
