“I mean, first of all, it’s just communication,” he said. “Getting people in the right spots. A lot of times, I’m the low man, so I’ve got to communicate that and put people where they need to be. But then, just activity. I think it’s better, I’m more focused, and I’ve just got to keep going like that and stop fouling.”



He also spoke about the absence of James and Reaves. “I’m enjoying it very much playing with these guys,” Doncic said. “AR can’t play, we’re still missing Bron, so this team has big potential. Everybody steps on the court and gives their maximum. So it’s very enjoyable to play.”

Despite taping his injured finger midgame and finishing strong, postgame evaluations confirmed the severity of the injury.

The team has since ruled him out for at least a week, which will sideline him for matchups against the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/portland-trail-blazers">Trail Blazers</a> (today), Kings, Timberwolves, and potentially the Grizzlies in the NBA Cup opener.



In Doncic’s absence, Austin Reaves is expected to take on a much larger offensive and playmaking role, while Marcus Smart will move into the starting lineup. Head coach JJ Redick described the move as precautionary, noting that there are no long-term concerns about Doncic’s recovery.
