Trevor Bauer is on administrative leave and has not pitched since June 18. Clayton Kershaw has been shelved due to a forearm inflammation, and Dustin May underwent Tommy John surgery in May.

Kyle Gibson, 33, is on the second year of a three-year deal with the Rangers and has been pitching very well this season. In 2021 Gibson is on a 6-2 record having struck out 90 batters. His ERA stands at 2.86 and has a great fastball and slider.
Jon Gray (Colorado Rockies, RHP)
Jon Gray recently struck out 7 batters against the Dodgers and stands at a 6-6 record this season. After a poor 2020, the right hander bounced back and possess a strong changeup and slider. Gray’s current contract with the Rockies has him on the road to free agency and could have a low cost attached if the Dodgers pulled the trigger.
Danny Duffy (Kansas City Royals, LHP)
Danny Duffy has gone 4-3 this season with a 2.51 ERA and 65 strikeouts. Despite his high salary, $15.5 million, he will be a free agent in 2022 and again could join the franchise at a low value in exchange. A change of scenery may do Duffy good; he has a good fastball, curve, and slider.
