Now, it’ll be up to the Clippers’ stars to take matters into their own hands and regain the lead in the series.
Luka Doncic was unstoppable with 28 points in just 28 minutes but struggled to stay out of foul trouble. However, it was the Mavericks’ bench that kept Rick Carlisle’s team ahead of the Clippers for most of the game.
Paul George had a terrible night shooting just 4/17 (2/10 from three) on the night after piling up 3 quick fouls in the first half but Kawhi Leonard picked up the slack with 35 points and 10 rebounds in 40 minutes.
Both teams must do a better job of staying disciplined in defense. The Clippers had plenty of wide-open looks in Game 2 but just couldn’t buy a bucket, which is going to be a point of emphasis for both coaches going forward.
