It's been the saga of the summer and it still makes the headlines even with the 2021-22 NBA season underway. Ben Simmons' future is up in the air, although it looks like it won't be at the Philadelphia 76ers for much longer.

After holding out from training camp and preseason in an attempt to force a trade, the Australian star eventually reported to the team after losing millions while he was absent. But that wouldn't mean he plans to stay in Philly.

Simmons already had a rift with Doc Rivers, who threw him out of practice for misbehavior and the franchise fined him with $1.4m besides giving him a one-match suspension that prevented him from the season-opener against the Pelicans. But he doesn't seem to be interested in winning back his place either.

The $5 million move that may confirm Ben Simmons wants out of Philadelphia

The Ben Simmons saga seemed to be taking a huge turn when he re-joined the team after a long stand-off but that may have been just a move to stop losing money and perhaps to improve his trade possibilities.

Either way, Big Ben may have given yet another signal that his days in Philly are over. CBS Sports reported that Ben Simmons put his New Jersey residence on sale this week. The mansion, listed at $5 million, is the second property he has placed on the market.

Not long ago, he also put his Philadelphia house for sale. In case you were doubting his intentions of leaving, this could make clear how much he is looking for a new destination.

But the season has begun and no other team was willing to surrender their own stars for Simmons, which the Sixers have been asking for in order to trade him. So, unless there's a team who satisfies them or the 76ers lower their demands, Simmons may not get out of Philly so easily
