The NBA has fined Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green $50,000 for making comments that questioned the integrity of the officiating during the playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The incident occurred after Golden State’s 102–97 loss in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals, during which Green referenced the 5.5-point betting spread and criticized the officiating. The league responded swiftly, citing a breach of its policy on statements that undermine the credibility of its referees.

According to the official statement published on NBA.com, the league declared: “Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has been fined $50,000 for making an inappropriate comment that questions the integrity of game officials, it was announced today by Byron Spruell, President, League Operations. Green’s actions took place during the Warriors’ 102–97 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 3 of their conference semifinals playoff series on May 10 at Chase Center.”
