Even though it’s been a couple of weeks since his last appearance in the hardwood, everybody around the NBA is talking about Damian Lillard and the possibility of him leaving the Portland Trail Blazers.

The uber-talented guard is one of the best scorers in the league and would be an instant upgrade for almost every single team in the league. And, while he had never hinted at the chance of leaving RIP City, the recent turmoil within the organization could fuel his exit.

Lillard didn’t know that newly-appointed coach Chauncey Billups had a history with sexual assault and he took to Twitter to let everybody know that he didn’t condone such things. And, according to a recent report, that might as well be just what he needed to force his way out of the team.

Damian Lillard Said He’d Like To Play For Jazz Or Lakers

That’s why a fan dug up on old tweets to find out which would be Dame D.O.L.L.A’s preferred destinations should he leave the Portland Trail Blazers. Shockingly, his choices were the Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Lakers.

Those tweets were from 2017 when neither the Jazz nor the Lakers were the championship contenders they are nowadays. Lillard has always embraced that underdog mentality, so perhaps he wouldn’t love to join either of these teams right now.

Also, it’s worth noting that he won’t be a free agent until 2025, so any team that wants to trade for him would have to give up a massive package in return. Then again, we’re talking about a top-notch scorer right here.

Lillard is a prolific scorer from all three levels and a guy who always rises up to the occasion in the clutch. He’s already outgrown the Blazers and it wouldn’t be shocking to see him trying to force his way out of the franchise.
