Aaron Rodgers admitted that his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers has exceeded expectations. The quarterback could play his final game if they lose to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18.

“Well, I mean, you never know how it’s going to be when you get in the locker room and how the guys are going to respond to you or how Mike Tomlin is going to be in the meetings. All those things have exceeded expectations. Mike’s leadership. Just kind of the people we have in the locker room. It’s a credit to Mr. Rooney and Andy and Omar for the kind of high character guys that they brought in the locker room. I’ve enjoyed the relationships and friendships. There’s a handful that will stick with me into the next chapter of my life, which is pretty exciting because most of all the great things in my life are due to this game.”

After the rumors that linked him to the Rams and the Vikings, Rodgers signed with the Steelers because it was the best remaining opportunity to try to win the Super Bowl. On several occasions, the veteran said that Tomlin was the key factor in his decision to play in Pittsburgh.

Will Aaron Rodgers play in 2026?

It is still unknown whether Aaron Rodgers will play in 2026. The only thing that is certain is that the quarterback will become a free agent and has publicly said that he will analyze the offers that come in over the next few months.

No matter what happens, Rodgers treasures his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers as one of the best of his professional career. For that reason, he does not regret having signed with the team for the 2025 season.

“You always think about the what if and the alternative timelines of your life, but, if I hadn’t taken this path, I never would have met so many guys in the locker room who I now call close friends and wouldn’t have had the experiences and the memories on the field. I wouldn’t have been to play for Arthur Smith and Mike Tomlin. I feel like there would be a little hole in my life missing without having this chapter. So, I’m thankful for this time.”
