Former Tua Tagovailoa teammate takes a huge shot at Dolphins after joining Jalen Hurts’ Eagles

A new teammate of Jalen Hurts on the Philadelphia Eagles has already found a noticeable difference with Tua Tagovailoa’s Miami Dolphins.

The reigning NFL champions will go all out to secure their second consecutive title, and for that, they’ll need a roster that’s up to the task. Jalen Hurts is already getting to know a new addition to the Philadelphia Eagles’ roster—someone who spent the last three years sharing the field with Tua Tagovailoa on the Miami Dolphins.

Kendall Lamm agreed to join Nick Sirianni’s squad this past offseason and is already getting up to speed with his new teammates. After just a few weeks with the team, the offensive tackle shared what he sees as the key differences between the two franchises.

“I understand why the Eagles reached two Super Bowls in three years: players are never late, never toxic, and after every practice, the room spends 15 minutes sharing personal struggles to stay mentally sharp – something I never got with the Dolphins,” Lamm said according to @ESPN.

Lamm’s comments come after spending three straight NFL seasons in South Florida, where not only did the results on the field fall short from a statistical standpoint, but off-field issues — both personal and internal — also became topics of concern.

The cultural challenge in Miami

The Miami Dolphins are actively addressing a challenging 2024 season marked by significant off-field issues and underperformance. Reports indicated a toxic locker room, with discipline problems and a lack of unity. Coach Mike McDaniel has publicly emphasized the need for greater accountability and discipline.

The success of this cultural overhaul remains to be seen. The Dolphins must translate their renewed emphasis on discipline and team cohesion into improved on-field performance, aiming to move past a season where external distractions and internal discord hindered their playoff aspirations.

Can Tua and the Dolphins bounce back next season?

The Miami Dolphins enter the upcoming season with plenty to prove. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will once again lead the offense, hoping to take a step forward in consistency and command. With a strong arm and improving decision-making, he remains central to Miami’s ambitions.

Tyreek Hill continues to be a game-changing weapon, bringing explosive playmaking that few defenses can contain. If he stays healthy and the offensive line holds up, the Dolphins can stretch the field and challenge any opponent. Their goal is clear: to take control of the AFC East and finally dethrone the Buffalo Bills.

Beyond talent, building a positive locker room culture will be key. Recent reports have highlighted internal issues, so fostering unity and discipline will be vital. If the team can stay focused and cohesive, there’s no reason they can’t make a serious push for the playoffs.
