Aaron Rodgers shocked the entire NFL by signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers after two very difficult seasons with the New York Jets. Even though his individual stats in 2024 weren’t bad, many analysts have criticized him, believing he has nothing left in the tank.

However, Mike Tomlin thinks there’s still something left to salvage, and that it will be enough to win the Super Bowl. That’s why he surrounded Rodgers with key offensive weapons like DK Metcalf, Jonnu Smith, and Jaylen Warren.

Moreover, the most important part of this entire formula will undoubtedly be the defense. It’s a long-standing tradition for the team. On that side of the ball, Aaron Rodgers will have to rely on one of the highest-paid units in the league, led by T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Alex Highsmith, Darius Slay, and Jalen Ramsey.

Is Aaron Rodgers retiring?

Aaron Rodgers is not retiring from football, and during an interview with Kyle Brandt at training camp in Latrobe, the quarterback explained why he didn’t say goodbye despite already having a brilliant two-decade career.

ā€œI fell in love with this game when I was six years old and I wanted to have that closure and give back to the game one more time the way that it’s given to me. As I thought about my life, really everything special in my life is because of this game and that’s not hyperbole. The relationships that I have. The friendships that I have. The people that are really important to my life. The money and the fame and the good parts of those. The good feeling is because of this game. i love this game. I want to give back to it one more time and have fun with it. I just felt like this is what I was supposed to do.ā€
