Itâs a time of renewed energy in South Florida, and many believe this could truly be the breakthrough season for the Miami Dolphins in the NFL. Among those is Tyreek Hill, who has full confidence in both his teammates and the coaching staff to achieve big things starting in Week 1.
The excitement among fans has only grown after hearing from one of the teamâs top offensive stars, who, while speaking to the media during training camp, admitted he hasnât shown his best yet â but is confident he will this season.
âThis whole offseason, Iâve been busting my tail,â Hill said, via Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com. âI told my dad â I want to see what it looks like when I just focus on football, on myself and family . . . I feel like I havenât been giving the best version of Tyreek my whole entire career.
âIâve always been trying to be here and be there, but me being able to slow down a little bit, train and bust my tail for myself and then also for this community and this team, I feel like itâll be worth it.â

A new wave of optimism in Miami
The Miami Dolphins face significant pressure to be AFC East contenders in 2025 after an 8-9 record in 2024. Their aspirations hinge heavily on quarterback Tua Tagovailoaâs ability to remain healthy throughout the season, a persistent concern given his injury history. The team also aims to fully unleash their explosive wide receiver duo, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, as a cornerstone of their offense.
Defensively, the Dolphins will navigate the season without star cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who was traded this offseason. This departure, coupled with a need for overall defensive improvement, places added emphasis on other key players stepping up.
Under HC Mike McDaniel, a significant culture shift is reportedly underway within the franchise. After a 2024 season where player accountability and meeting punctuality were issues, the focus is now on renewed commitment and discipline.
Start of the season for the Dolphins
Getting off to a strong start will be crucial for the Dolphins this upcoming NFL season, and these are the first five challenges theyâll face in pursuit of that goal:

- vs New England Patriots, September 14th
- @ Buffalo Bills, September 18th â Highmark Stadium
- vs New York Jets, September 29th
- @ Carolina Panthers, October 5th â Bank of America Stadium
