Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers have not been very active before the start of free agency. While the decision between Russell Wilson and Justin Fields is the most important, there are other players whose contracts are also expiring.

In addition to the dilemma at the quarterback position, the Steelers have many holes on both the offensive and defensive rosters. The good news is that general manager Omar Khan has nearly $60 million in cap space to work with.

It’s important to remember that Pittsburgh hasn’t won the Super Bowl in 16 years, and the AFC North will be one of the toughest divisions in the league with the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Will Najee Harris get contract extension with Steelers?

No. According to the latest report from Gerry Dulac, the Steelers are not considering giving Najee Harris a contract extension, despite the running back surpassing 1,000 yards in each of his four seasons in the NFL. He will be a free agent.

In addition, Dulac also mentions that Pittsburgh will not be giving a new deal to cornerback Donte Jackson, who was one of the most important reinforcements for Mike Tomlin in 2024 after a trade with the Panthers that sent Diontae Johnson to Carolina.
