Aaron Rodgers made headlines a few days ago with his interview on The Pat McAfee Show. However, according to a report by Gerry Dulac, Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers were unfazed by what the quarterback said because they had known it for a long time.
āAnything Aaron Rodgers said is not anything different than the Steelers have known all along. Their offer hasnāt changed. Itās been on the table. Itās a one-year deal. I canāt tell you exactly what the number is, but itās not anything thatās gonna blow somebody away.ā
According to the information, the former Super Bowl champion had already told the Steelers during his visit to Pittsburgh that he would take his time, so the team wasnāt surprised by the quarterbackās recent comments in which he said he doesnāt know what heāll do about his future.
Will Aaron Rodgers get a contract from Steelers?
Aaron Rodgers has an offer from the Steelers to sign a one-year contract, but the player still hasnāt decided whether he will accept it. Dulac mentions that, although there isnāt an endless deadline, Pittsburgh is still willing to wait.
āTheyāre basically waiting for him to make the decision and theyāre willing to wait. Anything he said was not any surprise to the Steelers. In terms of him taking his time, theyāve known that all along.ā
