The Pittsburgh Steelers have confirmed that Ben Roethlisberger, Joey Porter, and Maurkice Pouncey are the three former players included in the Hall of Honor Class of 2025.
Big Ben was the leader of a generation that won the Super Bowl twice and lost the title game in his third appearance. Ironically, that was against the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers (the current starting quarterback in Pittsburgh).
Porter had an outstanding career with 98 sacks, a championship, four Pro Bowl selections, and two First-Team All-Pro honors. He was also arguably the most vocal and controversial player on that defense. As for Pouncey, although he never got to lift a Lombardi Trophy, he is considered one of the best centers in recent league history and was one of Roethlisbergerās most respected and appreciated teammates.
Who will be in the Steelers Hall of Honor in 2025?
Ben Roethlisberger, Joey Porter, and Maurkice Pouncey will be inducted into the Steelersā Hall of Honor, and the ceremony to commemorate the special event will take place on December 15 during Monday Night Football against the Miami Dolphins at Acrisure Stadium.
The Hall of Honor was launched in 2017, inspired by Steelers President Art Rooney II and the late Chairman Dan Rooney. Designed to celebrate the legends who helped shape the franchise, it pays tribute to players, coaches, and executives who left a lasting impact on the teamās legacy. It is located inside Acrisure Stadium as part of the teamās museum.

This was Porterās reaction after hearing the news. āItās called the Hall of Honor for a reason. Itās an honor to be in it. To be mentioned with all the guys that played before that are in the Hall of Honor is special. Being in Pittsburgh, you know the tradition of what it means to play for the Steelers. So, just to be always mentioned amongst the greats, thatās what makes it amazing. Itās an honor. Iāve been waiting for the call for a while. Iāve been to a few of these. So, it was good to finally get the call. No matter when it came, I was happy to get it.ā
