The South American World Cup Qualifiers return today with an exciting double fixture. The opening game of the international window will be between Bolivia and Venezuelaat the Hernando Siles Stadium, in a game in which both need the three points to keep their World Cup aspirations alive.

La Verde have had a poor start to their campaign, having lost three out of four matches. César Farías‘ boys sit at the bottom of the standings, having claimed only one point so far. Hoping to pick up their first three points in the tournament, Bolivia will host a hopeful visitor team.

La Vinotinto’s last World Cup Qualification duel saw them grab a shocking win over Chile at home. José Peseiro‘s side probably isn’t seen as favorite to finish among the top five, but right now it isn’t far away from the fifth seed. Should they beat Bolivia, Venezuela would be able to dream.
