Game 1this week will be on Wednesday between No. 14 Coastal Carolina and Appalachian State at 7:00 PM (ET), a day later Tulane play No. 21 Southern Methodist at 7:00 PM. So far the AP Poll has held steady, especially after Alabama’s expected win over MS State 49-9. It seems that Nick Saban’s message reached the hearts of the players and they took the field ready to win at all costs.

The Georgia Bulldogs are not playing this week, they are resting after a well-deserved 30-13 win against the Kentucky Wildcats in Week 7. Next week (Week 9) Georgia returns to play the Florida Gators at a neutral stadium.

With the Bulldogs resting, the other FBS teams have a lot of work ahead of them, they must take advantage of the absence of the Bulldogs. And one of those teams is No. 2 Cincinnati, they play Navy on the road. While the nation’s No. 3 Oklahoma Sooners play Kansas on Saturday at 12:00 PM (ET).

No. 23 Pittsburgh play at home against the Clemson Tigers, the visitors are trying their best to get back into the Top 25 AP Poll but so far they are out of the rankings after starting the season in third place. It has been a disappointing season for Dabo and DJ Uiagalelei.

Another must-see game is Illinois vs. No. 7 Penn State at 12:00 PM, the Nittanny Lions are favorites to win the game but the visitors have good enough offensive power to hurt the home team. During that same time slot Michigan play No. 6 against Northwestern, Harbaugh wants another win to keep climbing the rankings.

No. 5 Ohio State Buckeyes play Indiana on the road, if the visitors win this game then we would be talking about a major change in the Top 25 for next week. But the Buckeyes would have to wait for the results of the other games of the day.
