<h2>How Many NBA Teams Will Play?</h2>
<p><strong>The NBA only invited 22 teams</strong> to attend the Orlando bubble, meaning the 8 <a href="http://nba.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NBA</a> teams that were already mathematically eliminated from the playoffs had to stay at home and plan ahead for the upcoming season.</p>
<p><strong>The Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Detroit Pistons, Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Charlotte Hornets, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Golden State Warriors</strong> didn’t make the cut this time.</p>

<h2>How Do The 2020 NBA Playoffs Work?</h2>
<p>All teams will play<strong> 8 regular-season games for seeding purposes</strong>, including playoffs teams. Those teams that are still in contention to clinch one of the three remaining playoffs spots will have to significantly close the gap with the current8th seeded team of their conference.</p>
<p>If less than 4 games separate the 8th and 9th seed of each conference, those teams will enter <strong>a play-in tournament. </strong>That tournament will require the 8th seeded team to win 1 game or the 9th seeded team to win 2 games. Eventually, the 8 best teams from each conference will complete the playoffs pool.</p>
<p>Then, teams will enter the 1st round of the playoffs, a best-of-seven series depending on their seeding. The team with the best record of the conference will face the 8th seed, and so it goes (2-7, 3-6, 4-5). The first to win 4 games will advance to the 2nd round, later the Conference Finals, and eventually, the NBA Finals <strong>(All series will be best-of-seven).</strong></p>

<h2>What Happens With Teams That Don’t Make The Playoffs Or Are Eliminated?</h2>
<p>Eliminated teams will leave the Disney campus and will round up the order of the 1st round of the<strong> 2020 NBA Draft </strong>depending on their record. The worst their record is, the higher they’ll be seeded after <a href="https://us.bolavip.com/nba/NBA-Draft-2020-Everything-you-need-to-know-20200717-0002.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">lottery picks </a>(15th – 30th pick).</p>
<h2>NBA Bubble Schedule</h2>
<p>The NBA bubble season will start on July 30 with the seeding games. That stage will go all the way to August 14. Play-in games, if necessary, will take place in the following days before the start of the playoffs. Moreover, the league is about to have all-day action like the NCAA’s March Madness tournament, at least until the end of the regular season.</p>
<p>The 1st roundbegins August 17,the conference semifinals begin August 31, and the conference finals begin September 15.<strong> The NBA Finals begin September 30 and will end no later than October 13.</strong></p>

<p><strong>The Los Angeles Lakers </strong>have a rich history in the NBA. They’re one of the most popular teams in the world and the second-winningest franchise in NBA history, so they’re clearly the biggest pride of California in terms of success.</p>
<p>The ‘Purple and Gold’ have always been a synonym to high standards. Just top-tier players make their way to the Staples Center and we couldn’t think ofa bigger honor than having the team retire your jersey. <strong>Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, and now LeBron James</strong> are just some of the superstars that have played for them.</p>

<p><strong>The Los Angeles Clippers</strong> were founded in Buffalo, New York, before being swapped with the Boston Celtics’ owner and relocated to San Diego. Then, the team decided to relocate again to Los Angeles, staying within the confines of the state.</p>
<p>The Clippers have had a poor history and some subpar performances throughout the years. Now, they’re finally developing a winning culture, will have an arena of their own to try and lure some younger fans, and have one of the strongest teams in the Western Conference. <strong>They’re yet to play in the NBA Finals.</strong></p>

<p><strong>The Golden State Warriors</strong> moved from Philadelphia in the early-’60s. They played in San Francisco before relocating to Oakland in the ’70s, and how now gone back to SF to play in their brand new arena, the Chase Center.</p>
<p>The Warriors had some serious struggles to compete over the past couple of decades. But now that <strong>Stephen Curry and Steve Kerr</strong> have led them to 5 Finals in 6 seasons, the team is one of the most popular and profitable franchises in the world. Hopefully, the Dubs will be able to keep the momentum going.</p>

<p><strong>The Sacramento Kings</strong> have been poorly managed since their very first days. The team has gone through multiple relocations from Rochester, to Cincinnati, to Kansas City, until they finally settled in Sacramento, although with little-to-none success.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.espn.com/nba/team/_/name/sac/sacramento-kings" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Kings</a> were even a candidate for another relocation a couple of years ago but the team eventually stood put. They’ve had some tough years and their strongest team had the tough lock to coexist with the Lakers and Spurs’ dynasties. <strong>They haven’t made the playoffs since 2006.</strong></p>

<p><strong>The Houston Rockets were actually born in San Diego.</strong> The name came from the production of the ‘Atlas’ rockets in the cityand later stood because the team moved to the ‘Space City’. The Rockets had somewhat successful years during his brief stint in California but poor attendanceand lack of profitability eventually forced the ownersto sell – and relocate- the team.</p>
