The Pittsburgh Steelersare the only undefeated team in the NFL after the first 12 weeks of the regular season. However, they’re not focused on having a perfect campaign and much rather take some time off to focus on the playoffs.

Nonetheless, that’s not likely to be the case, as they now have the tightest schedule in the league due to their game with the Baltimore Ravens being moved to Wednesday. The worst part is that the Steelers kept their Covid-19 situation under control, while the Ravens didn’t.

That means that the Steelers are poised to play not one, not two, but three games in the upcoming 12 days, which is insane even by the National Football League’s incredibly low standards.

Eric Ebron Says He Would Rather Lose A Game Check Than Play 3 Games In 12 Days

That’s why Pittsburgh Steelers tight-end Eric Ebron blasted the league and claimed that he would rather miss a game check (which would cost him$58,823.53) rather than play 3 games in such a short span and get hurt:

“We put all of these stipulations in place. Everybody signed up and said, ‘Ok, this is gonna be cool.’ Nobody thought you would play three games in 12 days. Think about that. That’s us. We play [Wednesday], we play Monday [against Washington], and we play Sunday [at Buffalo]. Oh my God (…) They’re trying to see us fail, bro. Welcome to the National Football League,”Ebron said on SiriusXM/Pandora.

“I don’t care about a game check. I’m sorry, I know there are people who don’t make the amount of money I do. I know that. So what? I’m sure they don’t want to play three games in 12 days either. They’d much rather, you know, lose a game check than risk them not making a check the next year because they’re hurt,” he added.

Eric Ebron Says He Expects The NFL Rolls The Red Carpet On Players For The Super Bowl

Eric Ebron went on to say that he expects the NFL to up themselves come Super Bowl time. The league has shown little-to-none consideration for the players throughout the Covid-19 season, so he expects them to pay their dues when it matters the most:

“When we go to the Super Bowl they just better give us the biggest plane, the best hotel, the top of everything,” Ebron said. “Like whatever they did for Kansas City last year we need to be 30 times better than that when we go to the Super Bowl because that’ll be their makeup to us. They gotta roll out the red carpet for our a**now. They ain’t trying to do it in the regular season. They’re gonna have to do it then and we want it bigger and better than everybody else because they made us go through three road games in the middle of the year, and then three games in 12 days. And everybody says, ‘Oh we have the easiest schedule.’ OK, come over here and play with us then,” he concluded.

The Steelers aren’t going to be at full strength for all three games. That’s impossible. They’re likely going to get hurt and banged up before the playoffs. At least they get to have a quarterback under center, unlike the Denver Broncos. But hey, that’s just the NFL’s way, it seems
