The Gold Cup 2021 started and the soccer community is in for a treat. Mexico arrived at the tournament as favorites to secure a second-straight title after being crowned two years ago and here we will take a look at their schedule for the group stage.

El Tri won the Group A against Trinidad and Tobago, Guatemala, and El Salvador. They ruled this zone even though they found in La Selecta a tricky opponent, yet Gerardo Martino's squad was the strongest one in the region.

Mexico played their group phase matches in Texas and started their campaign on the right foot. Now, El Tri are expecting to reach the final. Let's take a look at their upcoming 2021 Gold Cup affairs.

Mexico vs Trinidad and Tobago - July 10

Mexico started their 2021 Gold Cup tournament with a scoreless draw with Trinidad and Tobago on Saturday, July 10, at 10 PM (ET) at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The Socca Warriors had made this stage through the prelims so they had two competitive games under their belts.

Mexico vs Guatemala - July 14

Just a few days after beginning their campaign, Mexico clinched their first victory with a 3-0 win over Guatemala on Wednesday, July 14, at 9:30 PM (ET) at Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas. Guatemala replaced Curaçao, who suffered a Covid outbreak that ruled them out for the tournament.

Mexico vs El Salvador - July 18

Gerardo Martino's men finished their group stage action with a 1-0 win over El Salvador on Sunday, July 18, at 10 PM (ET) once again at Cotton Bowl. El Tri arrived at this game with a quarter-final spot already booked.

Mexico vs Honduras - July 24

Mexico and Honduras faced each other on Saturday, July 24, at the State Farm Stadium in Arizona in a match for the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup Quarterfinals. Martino's side clinched a convincing 3-0 victory and won a spot in the semis. Honduras were without their star Alberth Elis, who had suffered an injury days before the game that ruled him out for the rest of the tournament.

Mexico vs Canada - July 29

Gerardo Martino's side will face Canada on Thursday, July 29th, at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, for a place in the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup Final. The winners will meet either USA or Qatar, who will meet in the other semifinal.
