The March FIFA window has ended for the United States with a tough loss against Portugal. The USMNT didn’t look too well in this international break and time is running out for the Stars and Stripes ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup they will host.
The game started with a lot of intensity from the home team, with Christian Pulisic leading most of the attacks. Nevertheless, it was Portugal who scored first with a goal by Francisco Trincao in the first half.
For the second 45 minutes, Portugal dominated the game completely. Joao Felix scored the second goal of the night with a beautiful shot to secure the victory on the road.
