If thereâs one thing that makes Philadelphia fans different, itâs their passion. For better or worse, thereâs just a unique vibe in the City of Brotherly Love when it comes to sports.
They can be absolutely ruthless when you donât do well. But once youâve made it there, you wonât ever have to pay for another meal, beer, and you will be a legend until the end of time.
Thatâs the case with legendary coach Dawn Staley and now, also with Jalen Hurts. However, there have been times when Staley has had to reach out to the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback to make sure heâs doing well.

âWhen we lose, the city goes crazy. Like, crazy. So, sometimes I just text him, âHey, donât get too high with the highs or low with the lows.â He doesnât. Heâs the coolest cat that I know,â Staley said on Kylie Kelceâs podcast. âBut sometimes you need to hear it. Youâre the only one whoâs going to feel the pressure of everybody else, because other people in other positions can just kind of go under the radar. But with Jalen, we know youâve got the potential to win Super Bowls, you really feel the pressure. So Iâm just like, âHang in there. Itâs Philly. Ride the wave.â And we rode the wave with him all the way to the Super Bowl.â
