Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns are reportedly heading towards divorce, and, per Shams Charania, he’s listed the San Antonio Spurs in his shortlist of preferred trade destinations.
The Spurs have the necessary assets to trade for the two-time NBA champion and future Hall of Famer, including the second-overall pick in this month’s star-studded NBA Draft.
Nevertheless, ESPN insider Michael C. Wright thinks they won’t be that interested in his services, as they would rather use that pick to get Rutgers combo guard Dylan Harper.
The Spurs won’t trade Dylan Harper for Kevin Durant
“Aren’t likely to relinquish the No. 2 pick for Durant because, according to sources, it’s expected they’ll draft Dylan Harper to add to a talented young core featuring Wembanyama and Castle,” reported Wright.
