He added: āThereās a lot of emotion right there. I thought I did a good job tonight not forcing it. Human nature says when you end the season on a sour note, you want to come out and prove people wrong. But I probably did a good job to start the game, dishing, rebounding, playing defense.ā

āItās going great right now (laughs). Weāre still alive, and Iām excited to head to Memphis. Tonight was fun because we were fully immersed in the moment. Itās been a tumultuous seasonāinjuries hit us hard, harder than Iāve seen before. But weāre still here, playing postseason basketball,ā Thompson said.
