The Kansas City Chiefs’ 2025 NFL season will come to a close next weekend after failing to secure a playoff berth. The frustrating campaign has cast doubt on the futures of several key figures within the organization, including head coach Andy Reid himself.

Although there’s still no certainty about what will happen in the near future, Reid made it clear that he intends to continue leading the first team in Chiefs Kingdom. “I think I’m coming back, if they’ll have me back,” he revealed via Charles Goldman.

While an early playoff exit is a situation the Chiefs haven’t faced much in recent years, it gives them the chance to secure a higher pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. From there, they’ll carefully analyze what moves will be best for next year’s roster.

“With Brett (Veach) and his crew doing it. That part is exciting to see and what takes place. It’s something to look forward to. It’s not where you want to be, but it is where we are,” Reid stated.
