Will Howard joins Mike Tomlin’s Pittsburgh Steelers after stellar NCAAF season, leading Ohio State Buckeyes to championship. The talented QB is already looking ahead to his new chapter, where he could potentially share the field with Aaron Rodgers, ahead of the 2025 NFL season.

Following the news of the Steelers selecting a new potential starting QB for their roster, Howard couldn’t contain his excitement and took to social media to express his feelings about joining one of the top contenders in the AFC North.

“What’s up Steelers Nation! Just jumped in the pool with my family to celebrate,” the talented quarterback said in a video shared on social media. “Can’t wait to be a part of this. Can’t wait to get to Pittsburgh to get started. Let’s go!”

Although forecasts didn’t expect an early selection for Howard, the quarterback was ultimately picked by Tomlin’s team in the sixth round, with the overall pick number 185.

Could Aaron Rodgers land with the Steelers?

Far from having a clear answer, the situation between Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers continues to drag on as the days go by. While many expected the veteran QB to make a decision before the draft, that didn’t happen, leaving his potential arrival at the franchise still up in the air.

With the selection of Will Howard to join the team, the Steelers now have three options to start in Week 1: the former Buckeyes QB, Mason Rudolph and also Skylar Thompson.

While many still hope for his arrival to come to fruition, others are beginning to grow frustrated with the delay and are looking at exploring alternatives elsewhere.
