The 2024 NFL season was remarkable for the Washington Commanders. However, the club is well aware of the improvements needed to take the next step, which is why they have signed another wide receiver to support Jayden Daniels.

Last year, the Commanders underwent a major rebuild that included both a new quarterback and a revamped coaching staff. There was uncertainty about how this duo would perform, but in the end, they delivered impressive results.

Jayden Daniels, selected with the No. 2 overall pick, proved to be a top-tier talent. However, the team understands that for him to reach his full potential, he needs more weapons—leading them to make key additions this offseason.

After an outstanding 2024 season, the Commanders are looking to build on their success and have an even stronger campaign. Selecting Jayden Daniels was a major step forward, but the team knows he can’t carry the offense alone.

As the offseason began, reports surfaced that Washington planned to be aggressive in free agency. Those rumors quickly turned into reality, with the team already making several notable moves.

In a blockbuster trade, the Commanders acquired Deebo Samuel from the 49ers. He is expected to be the team’s WR2 behind Terry McLaurin, but Washington wasn’t done yet in bolstering its receiving corps.

On Thursday, the Commanders re-signed K.J. Osborn to a one-year deal. The team picked him up last season after he was waived by the Patriots, but he saw limited action in Washington.

Although Osborn played just one game for the Commanders without recording a reception, the team values his potential and is adding depth at the position. However, Samuel and McLaurin remain the primary targets for Daniels heading into the 2025 season.
