Jerry Jones keeps making moves trying to ensure the Dallas Cowboys can be Super Bowl contenders for the upcoming season. As the owner had predicted after Mike McCarthy’s departure, many changes were on the way.

Brian Schottenheimer is the new head coach after working as the team’s defensive coordinator, Nick Sorensen will be in charge of special teams, and after his failure with the Bears, Matt Eberflus was announced as the defensive coordinator.

All these names are joining an organization that has the advantage of having three cornerstones in Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Micah Parsons. Now, Jones has made a signing to keep that process going.

Who signed with the Cowboys?

The Dallas Cowboys confirmed that Will McClay signed a five-year contract extension to remain in his role as vice president of player personnel. McClay is the key man who recruited Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and Micah Parsons.

Overall, his tenure has been outstanding in the last decade, discovering 15 players in the Draft who eventually made it to the Pro Bowl. Now, the key for the Cowboys is that Schottenheimer and his coaching staff can maximize all the talent that McClay will surely continue to find.
