Not Cowboys nor Eagles: Bears’ Caleb Williams reveals who he thinks are the worst fans in the NFL

Despite many surveys naming the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles as the worst fanbases in the NFL for several reasons, the Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams surprised everyone by choosing a different team in his pick.

Caleb Williams is already making his presence felt in the NFL and aims to take his Chicago Bears deep into the upcoming season. Throughout this journey, the team will hit the road multiple times and face some of the league’s most passionate fanbases — and according to the QB, one stands out as the worst of all, excluding the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles.

During a recent appearance at Fanatics Fest, the former USC Trojans quarterback was asked about his early experiences playing on the road with his team. To the surprise of many, he revealed which fanbase he considers to be the worst, based on his own perspective.

While many might point to NFC East teams like Dallas or Philly when discussing the league’s most hostile environment, Williams didn’t hesitate — he was clear and firm in his response, choosing the Green Bay Packers.

“Probably Green Bay,” Williams said. I mean, they suck. After the game, after we won at Lambeau — 1-0 at Lambeau — we tried to do the Lambeau Leap, tried to jump into the crowd where our fans were.

“[Packers fans] just started throwing everything at you, push you off. The Lambeau Leap, it’s a real leap. It’s not a little baby jump, you actually have to high jump, basically. And they’re pushing you, pushing your face.”

When will the Bears and Packers face off?

As divisional rivals, the Packers and Bears will face each other twice this season. One matchup will take place at Soldier Field, while the other will be held in Wisconsin — at the always challenging Lambeau Field.

The first of the two games is scheduled for December 7, in a Week 16 clash. In that game, Williams will have to back up his words as he faces the Packers and their notoriously hostile crowd.

The second head-to-head meeting between the two teams will take place in Week 18, with the exact date still to be determined. This time, the matchup will be held in the Windy City — home of the Bears.

The least favorite fanbases in the NFL

According to recent surveys from late 2024 and early 2025, the Dallas Cowboys fanbase is consistently ranked as the most disliked or annoying by other NFL fans. Many polls place them at the top due to their high media visibility, the personality of their owner Jerry Jones, and the perception of arrogance among some of their supporters.

Close behind are the Philadelphia Eagles fans, often labeled as the most rowdy or prone to starting altercations. Other fanbases frequently mentioned as among the most disliked or annoying include the New England Patriots, due to their dominance over the past decades, the Kansas City Chiefs because of their recent success, and the San Francisco 49ers.
