Rumors indicated that the club was eyeing Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers as potential options. Wilson even visited the team earlier this week but left the facilities without receiving an offer.

On Friday, Aaron Rodgers, who was also on their radar, visited the Steelers. With those two options off the table, the Giants turned to another veteran free agent to lead the team this year.
