Shedeur Sanders issued a strong warning to all NFL teams about the potential mistake of letting him fall to the No. 21 spot in the draft, where the Pittsburgh Steelers would be ready to select him.
During an interview with Kay Adams, this was Shedeur’s response when asked if it would be ‘unfair’ for the league that a team which had ten wins last season might be able to land a player with his level of potential. “That’s on the people (laughs). That’s on the other franchises that make their mistake and let me go there (Pittsburgh).”
Sanders radically transformed two college football programs with Jackson State and Colorado. Now, if the conditions and destiny align, he could turn the Steelers into Super Bowl contenders once again.
What team will draft Shedeur Sanders?
In recent days, several reports indicate that Shedeur Sanders may not be selected in the Top 3 of the first round. That means the Titans, Browns, and Giants would pass on him, despite all of those teams having major issues at the quarterback position.
The Raiders at No. 6 could be an attractive option, but it seems Las Vegas might go after Ashton Jeanty. Then, with the No. 9 pick, the biggest intrigue surrounds the Saints. Although they have Derek Carr, they could decide to hand the reins to Shedeur under the guidance of new head coach Kellen Moore.

If New Orleans doesn’t draft Sanders, the drop could be significant on the board, and that’s where, at the 21st spot, the Pittsburgh Steelers could find themselves with a completely unexpected opportunity to get Shedeur with Aaron Rodgers as a possible mentor.
Just two weeks before the draft, the young star declared himself ready to make an impact without having to change who he is during an interview with The Insiders.

“When I go visit these coaches and when I go to all these different franchises, I ask them truly what I think and how I feel. Some get offended, some like it, some don’t. Make some people uncomfortable, some people invite that. They know what type of person and what type of player they’re gonna get out of me. So, I just have to make sure, you know, what type of culture or what type of dynamic I’m going to have with them also.”
