Both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are considered two of the best players in soccer history. During their years as professional players, they managed to break all type of records to be considered two living legends. In this case, however, we will focus on some of CR7 records that not even the Argentine will break.

Winning the league in Europe’s major tournaments

Messi won La Liga 10 times, which is absolutely amazing. However, in 2019 Ronaldo achieved something that the Argentine will probably never do. After claiming the Serie A title with Juventus, CR7 became the first player in history to clinch the three biggest European leagues titles. The Portuguese superstar won the Premier League (Manchester United), La Liga (Real Madrid) and the Serie A (Juventus).

Top Champions League scorer six years in a row

Messi and Ronaldo are the only two players in history to have scored more than 100 goals in the Champions League. However, the Portuguese forward finished as the top Champions League scorer six years in a row, from the 2012/2013 season to the 2017/2018 season. Messi did it in four consecutive tournaments, from 2008/2009 to 2011/2012.

Winning any possible title with two different teams

After clinching any possible trophy during his stint in Manchester United, Ronaldo won the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup with Real Madrid, in 2014. He became the first and only player to have ever achieved this feat with two different teams. Of course, Messi won those titles too, but always playing for Barcelona.

More than 50 goals in six consecutive seasons

Between 2010 and 2016, when he was playing for Real Madrid, CR7 managed to score more than 50 goals every season. No other soccer player have been able to match that stat. Messi has been always among the top scorers, but he “only” could net more than 50 goals in three seasons in a row, from 2010/2011 to 2012/2013.
