The Copa America 2021 Knockout Stage bracket led to an eagerly awaited final between arguably the two strongest teams on the continent, Brazil and Argentina. The road to the final wasn't that long, as the knockout stages began directly from the quarterfinals.

Argentina have accomplished their dream and claimed the Copa America title after 28 years. Moreover, Colombia and Peru have faced each other for the third-place game, and Los Cafeteros came out strong winning 3-2. Reinaldo Rueda's boys claimed bronze for the first time after four years.

Copa America 2021 Knockout Stage Format

In the Copa America 2021 knockout stage, if a match remains tied after 90 minutes it will only go to extra time in the final (two periods of 15 minutes each, and if it still is tied then it will be decided by penalty shoot-out). In the quarterfinals, semifinals, and the third-place game, if things are level after regular time, the winner will be decided on penalties.
