While it’s just a friendly match, both teams need to gain rhythm before the World Cup Qualifiers 2022 resume next year. Chile lost their most recent match for the qualifiers against Ecuador, and they are currently in the sixth position of the table.
Meanwhile, El Salvador lost three of their last four matches in the Concacaf World Cup Qualifiers. They lost 2-1 to Panama for the tournament, and then drew 1-1 with Ecuador in a friendly match on Saturday.
