Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are playing the second leg of the 2026 UEFA Champions League quarterfinals, and the visitors quickly took the lead. A back pass to Manuel Neuer saw the German goalkeeper attempt to play it to a teammate, but it ended up at Arda Guler instead.
Without even controlling the ball, the Turkish player struck it first time toward goal and scored the opening goal of the match. It took less than 40 seconds for the visitors to take the lead.
Bayern Munich won the first leg in Madrid 2–1. Alvaro Arbeloa’s men must overturn the result if they want to advance to the next round.

Madrid also made a mistake
Bayern Munich found an unexpected 1-1 equalizer after a shocking blunder by Andriy Lunin gifted them a way back into the match. The Real Madrid goalkeeper, who is replacing Thibaut Courtois, was slow coming off his line for a corner, and Pavlovic beat him to it with a precise header.
The young midfielder calmly slotted the ball home, punishing Lunin’s rare lapse in concentration and completely shifting the momentum of the game.
PSG await for their opponent
Whoever comes out on top in the tie between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, already knows it will have to face PSG. The French side eliminated Liverpool 4–0 on aggregate.
