Jake Paul will add another chapter to his incipient boxing career when he faces former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley todayin Cleveland. Paul, a social media superstar, has a 3-0 record from his previous fights, but neither of his rivals have been as challenging as Woodley. Paul has gone 3-0 with three knockouts in his young boxing career by taking out AnEsonGib, a fellow social media influencer; Nate Robinson, a former NBA star, and former UFC fighter Ben Askren. However, Woodley is a dangerous striker, who could put Paul in trouble.

In the MMA, Woodley had an undefeated stretch from 2014-18 when he captured the welterweight title with a knockout of Robbie Lawler. However, Woodley is no longer with the UFC after four straight losses. His last appearance for the UFC was in March.

Paul, despite the criticism, has started to build a career in boxing and so far it has been successful. This fight against Woodley, his fourth ever, came together quickly after Paul and Woodley had an argument in the backstage of Paul and Askren fight.

Woodley called Paul out for a fight immediately afterward, and Paul accepted. They agreed upon a weight of 190 pounds. The social media star also signed a multi-fight contract with Showtime, so this fight will headline the Showtime PPV.

Until now, the 24-year-old Paul has demonstrated boxing ability, however, he still needs to prove himself against more serious rivals. This fight against Woodley is going to be a test for him and his credibility in the ring. Woodley, 39, on the other hand, will also try to begin again after his UFC fallout.
