Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still the Manchester United boss, for now. After the Red Devils 5-0 pounding at the hands of Liverpool and losing three of their last four. Manchester United have seen better days and Solskjaer is once again in trouble.
Despite a start of the season that was very promising, things have fallen off the rails and the Manchester United brass have begun to question if Solskjaer is the right person to lead the team going forward.
Now according to SunSport, the bosses at ManU are interested in four world class managers to take over the reins if the club does not find its form. Here are the four candidates on Manchester United’s wish list to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Antonio Conte
Antonio Conte recently coached Inter Milan to the Serie A title and while not a fan of taking over a team midseason, Conte might be keen to take on a job that has Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, among others in the squad.
Zinedine Zidane
Zinedine Zidane may be wishful thinking as the French coach has stated he’d like to only coach France or PSG in the future. Still, both jobs seem tied up at the moment and Zidane could consider the Manchester United position.
Brendan Rodgers
A Premier League hire, Brendan Rodgers has done great work at Liverpool, Celtic, and Leicester. A motivator and student of the league, Rodgers could be the best local hire to right the ship. Rodgers seems more like a next season hire than right now.
Erik ten Hag
Erik ten Hag is an out of this world hire, ten Hag is coaching Ajax and just renewed his contract it would be a mess to think that Manchester United would need to compensate Ajax and that Ajax would allow their manager to leave in a season that has seen them start very well.
