The nominees for the 2024 Women’s Ballon d’Or were announced, and among the footballers chosen for the award, one name stands out due to being the daughter of a Chicago Bulls NBA champion.
The 2024 Women’s Ballon d’Or will be awarded on Monday, October 28. On that day, Trinity Rodman, daughter of former Chicago Bulls star Dennis Rodman, will be among the top contenders for the award.
Trinity Rodman is one of the main candidates for the 2024 Women’s Ballon d’Or, alongside players Aitana Bonmatí, Barbra Banda, Tarciane, and Lauren Hemp. The 22-year-old forward won the gold medal with the U.S. Women’s National Team at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, where she scored three goals.
Trinity is the younger of the two children Dennis Rodman had with Michelle Moyer, his third wife, whom he met in 1999. Her older brother, Dennis Rodman Jr., is 23 years old and made a name for himself in college basketball with the USC Trojans, where he played alongside Bronny James.
The Washington Spirit forward was the youngest player ever drafted (No. 2 overall) in the National Women’s Soccer League. On February 12, 2022, she made her first appearance with the U.S. Women’s National Team and has already played 45 matches, scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists.
Dennis Rodman career
Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman won five NBA championship rings between the 1986/87 and 1999/2000 seasons, two of which were with the Detroit Pistons (1989 and 1990) and three with the Chicago Bulls (1996, 1997, 1998). He retired two years before becoming the father of Trinity, who was born in 2002.
