A couple of months ago, Cooper Flagg made the rounds online for admitting that he wished he could return to play for Duke next season. Well, technically, he could.

He has yet to declare for the 2025 NBA Draft, and while he’s firmly expected to be the first overall pick, it’s not going to be official until he finally submits his application.

In a recent interview with FOX Sports, the talented forward admitted that he hadn’t made up his mind just yet, adding that he would take his time before making a decision.

“I’m just going through the process. Really, we haven’t had that much time to talk about it yet. I got the chance to come out here (Los Angeles) and take some time with myself and my family and take some time to reflect on the season I’ve had. I’m not in a particular rush. I’m just going through the process, going to talk with everybody I need to, and will make a decision on what’s best for me,” he said.

Needless to say, the chances of Flagg actually returning to college next season seem to be quite slim. But until he declares for the NBA Draft and actually goes through with the process, anything is possible.
