Throughout the course of history, the Duke Blue Devils have had some of the greatest players in college basketball history. That’s one of the reasons why other fans hate them so much.
They’ve had their fair share of superstars, with Cooper Flagg being the latest addition to that list. Unfortunately, that didn’t translate to a national championship this season.
So, now that his days in Durham are most likely coming to an end and his Duke career is all but over, he looked back in time and shared his Mr. Rushmore of former Blue Devils.

“Picking four is tough. I think JJ Redick for sure. Christian Laettner for sure. I’d put Grant Hill up there. The fourth one can go any way. I’ll put Zion (Williamson) on there because, for me, his team was one of the teams I really watched growing up and was excited about watching,” he told FOX Sports.

The young forward should still rank high among the most talented players in Duke history, and he had a freshman year for the ages, leading the team in all major categories.

Even so, it’s not easy to crack this program’s Mt. Rushmore, but who knows? Perhaps he’ll go down as the greatest Duke player in NBA history once it’s all said and done.
