Cooper Flagg hadnāt played a single minute of college basketball for Duke, and he was already penciled in as the projected first-overall pick of the 2025 NBA Draft.
His lone season at Durham only cemented his case as the best player in his class. Needless to say, heās now firmly expected to turn pro, although he has yet to announce his decision.
In a recent interview with FOX Sports, the Maine native claimed that he would have the final say on that decision. Nevertheless, he will still consult with his parents, his agent, and his coaches.

āI think it comes from myself. Where I see myself, what I want, where my head is at. Both of my parents, my family, my agent, and obviously, my coaches and the staff. Those are the people I will talk to the most,ā he said.

At the end of the day, heās his own man, and he has to make his own decisions. Even so, itās very difficult to envision him returning to college after everything that has transpired.

He could have an unmatched impact if he decided to do that, and he would also send NBA teams picking high in the draft into a frenzy. As much as we would love to see that happen, it seems unlikely.
