To say that this NBA season has been an absolute nightmare for the Philadelphia 76ers would be a massive understatement. That doesnāt even come close to describing what theyāve gone through.
The team has struggled with a plethora of injuries, and just when rookie guard Jared McCain was starting to catch fire, he suffered a season-ending injury as well.
Thatās why, with the playoffs almost out of reach, former NBA champion Ron Harper urged the team to just call it quits, shut down their veterans, and hope for the best in the NBA Draft lottery.

āIf I was the GM of Sixers Iām shutting Joel embiid down and tho king about shutting Paul George down too and hope we get a high lottery pickā¦. TANK,ā he wrote on X.

Ron Harper
This speaks volumes coming from Harper, as his son, Dylan Harper, is expected to be a top-three pick in this yearās draft. Perhaps the old man wants him to play in the City of Brotherly Love.
