The Imola Grand Prix wasn’t a promising outing for Ferrari on Sunday, as the team missed out on a win while Max Verstappen claimed a comfortable victory. Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc managed to secure just 20 points combined for the team in the Constructors’ Championship.

While Hamilton delivered a strong performance, Leclerc struggled throughout the weekend. Following a sixth-place finish, the Monegasque driver spoke to the media and made a revealing statement about his frustrations.

After a strong start to the season during the Middle East leg, Leclerc has been unable to replicate that form in Europe’s first race. Reflecting on his weekend at Imola, he didn’t hold back in his criticism.

“I was saying before the race, it was one of those races where you’ve got to race with your heart and put your elbows out a little bit,” Leclerc told Sky Sports F1. “I know that when it’s like this, you’re pushing to the limit, sometimes even over it. But when you start P11, as a driver, I just cannot accept the situation we are in.
