Kyrie Irving has stood his ground regarding coronavirus vaccines by taking to social media and putting his point of view out there. The Brooklyn Nets star even had to reiterate that he was not retiring, but simply does not want to get vaccinated as a personal choice.
Even NBA Commissioner Adam Silver had to field questions regarding the matter and stated: “This is between Irving and New York City right now. This is not a league issue … but I think it would have been best for everyone if every player were vaccinated.”
Now the NBA point guard has the backing of one of the best pound for pound boxers of all-time Floyd Mayweather, Jr. Here is what Pretty Boy Floyd had to say about Kyrie Irving not taking COVID-19 vaccines.

Floyd Mayweather, Jr. stated in an online video, “America is the land of the free. Freedom of speech, freedom of religion and, supposedly, freedom to choose… I respect you for having some integrity and being your own man. A free mind makes his own choices. An enslaved mind follows the crowd. Stand for something or fall for anything. One man can lead a revolution to stand up and fight for what’s right. One choice, one word, one action can change the world. It’s crazy how people hate you for being a leader. I hope your actions encourage many others to stand up and say enough is enough.”
Since October 12th, Kyrie Irving cannot attend team practices or play in any games for the Brooklyn Nets, until he is eligible by the league’s standards, which basically means he needs to get vaccinated.
