The Green Bay Packers entered the 2020 NFLseason with a lot of doubts over their head. People thought last yearās success was a fluke and that they wouldnāt be able to improve, especially after not signing or drafting receivers.
Fast-forward to today and the team is now 9-3 and in control of the NFC North, and itās pretty clear that their offense has improved a lot from last season, even though their roster looks almost the same.
So, when asked about whatās different this time, Aaron Rodgers just said that he believes that the offense is much more comfortable with Matt LaFleurās system because theyāre just keeping it simple.
Aaron Rodgers Thinks The Green Bay Packersā Offense Is Simpler Now
āI think itās a comfort for everybody in the offense. Simplicity, even. And then guys making steps, growing up and taking that next step into their development,ā Rodgers told the media, as quoted by ClutchPoints.
āSo I think, you know, in general ā and Iāve talked about this a lot of Wednesdays, and Iāll continue to ā I really feel like that we did make some things a little simpler this year, and everybodyās in their second year at the same time so it becomes more simple because itās more readily on your mind. Itās easier to put a picture to a thought, to a play, and I think thatās helped all of us kind of play a little bit faster this year,ā the quarterback concluded.
The Packers are set to face the Detroit Lions on the road next Sunday, which is a mouth-watering matchup for their offense. Davante Adams and Aaron Jones have taken another step forward this season, and itās clear that Aaron Rodgers is far from done as heās playing at an MVP level right now.
