In this context, the decision to release a backup quarterback has been made.
Carroll’s arrival, along with general manager John Spytek, marked a new direction for the franchise directly backed by Brady. As part of this new vision, planning decisions sometimes involve letting go of players in key positions.
Since joining as a minority owner, Brady has played an active role in the team’s football decisions. Together with Carroll and Spytek, he has formed an internal group described as “a great sounding board,” specializing in personnel and strategy matters. The player who was let go by the Raiders is none other than quarterback Carter Bradley, who was released by Carroll’s decision. There was no corresponding move, leaving a vacant spot on Las Vegas’s 90-man roster.
