Following a long-awaited Serie A title last season, Inter Milan had to face rebuild amid a delicate financial situation. They saw the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi leave, which also led to Antonio Conte stepping away from the managerial duties.

Despite they had a might squad that seemed ready to take its game to the next level and push for a deep run in the UEFA Champions League, the Nerazzurri had to surrender some of their best players to raise funds.

They did manage to bring in other names but were unable to afford big-time signings and instead opted for free players or low-cost arrivals. Their budget wouldn't be much bigger in the short term either and that may prevent them from signing an Atalanta star.

Inter Milan have €30m-rated Atalanta star on their radar

Inter may need to act more carefully when the time of making transfers comes but that doesn't mean they won't continue to watch players and add them to their wishlist, regardless if they have the means to land them right now or not.

That seems to be the case with Atalanta's Ruslan Malinovskyi, who is valued at €30 million by La Dea, according to CalcioMercato. The Italian outlet also claims that price tag wouldn't be matched by Inter in the near future despite they like the attacking midfielder.

Malinovskyi arrived at Bergamo in 2019 for a €13 million fee and, considering Atalanta's valuation for him now, his stock has risen significantly since then. Inter will reportedly keep close tabs on the Ukrainian star but a move wouldn't materialize unless Atalanta lower their demands.
